Poongar Rice Puttu/ Idiyappam Mix-From mom’s kitchen

Ingredients: Poongar Rice

Preparation:

Take a bowl and add 250g pack of Idiyappam Mix and mix with 250 to 300 ml of lukewarm water. Knead to a smooth and soft dough. Using Idyappam Maker, make idyappam on the idly moulds and steam on the idly cooker/Pressure cooker (if using pressure cooker avoid using whistle) During Steaming you can top the idiyappam with grated coconut. Steam the idyappam for 9-10 mins in medium to high flame. Hot Idiyappam is ready.

You can serve it with Coconut milk mixed with Jaggery, Vegetable Kurma.

You can also make Chakkli/Muruku, Puttu using this powder mix.
